摘要
Pass rates were disappointingly very low among matric learners of high schools of Letlhabile circuit before 2007. In 2007, intervention programmes were introduced in 19 schools that were affected. They were monitored closely till 2011. A study was undertaken to determine if there was any relationship between pass rates and the number of interventions in these high schools and to examine possible patterns of change due to the links involved. Regression was used to determine the relationship between pass rates and the number of interventions. Time series methods were used to examine trend patterns of passes over some years. Accuracy levels were measured. The study found that indeed interventions enhance learner performance. A linear function was found to be the best model for the relationship, outclassing other methods assessed.
