摘要
This paper has tutorial character. It summarises several of the most important issues of human-machine systems research with respect to application needs in industry and society. Thereby, the main purpose of this paper is to provide an introduction to the IFAC-HMS 2001 Symposium. Also, those scientists and practitioners who are relatively new in the field should receive a starting support for this fascinating symposium. ;Copyright (C) 20011FAC.
