摘要
In this article a multi-stage (M-stage) k-rank nearest-neighbor (k-RNN) rule is used to discriminate an unknown observation into one of two populations (or classes). The asymptotic risk (i.e., the total probability of misclassification (TPMC)) of this rule is derived and shown that, as the number of stages increases, the limiting TPMC of the M-stage k-RNN rule decreases.
