摘要
It has been shown that the geomagnetic response to the solar wind dynamic pressure variations with T = 8-12 min, shown in the global generation of geomagnetic pulsations with similar periods T, has two different modes of oscillations. The first mode is recorded in antiphase relative to the noon meridian and is observed from equatorial to high latitudes. The second mode of oscillations is excited at latitudes of greater than or equal to73degrees-75degrees and does not change its phase relative to the noon meridian in the region extending over similar to7 MLT in longitude. The region of generation of the second-mode pulsations shifts poleward at a velocity of similar to2-3 km/s. It is assumed that the first mode of the oscillations results from the modulation of the intensity of the large-scale two-vortex current system and the second mode is caused by the generation of jet ionospheric currents closed at the dayside magnetosphere by field-aligned currents of zone 1.
