The paper presents a thermoeconomic analysis of a coal-fired power plant combined with district heating and cooling. The costs of heat and electric energy from the coal-fired power plant were calculated. Distributed heat is used for driving the absorption chillers. Cold power costs from the compression chillers, driven by electricity, and from the absorption chillers, driven by heat, were calculated. Calculations of cold power costs were done for different time periods and were based on exergy analysis.
