Firstly, this article carried out an overview of land management study in developed countries in four aspects: the land reserve system, land management systems, land policy and land-oriented factors. Secondly, the paper analyzed practice experience in land management in developed countries in five aspects: establish an independent body, improve legal system, perfect the tax system, and focus on rational planning and flexible means. Thirdly, the paper expatiated Chinese land management study by the regulation of land price, the land transfer system, the land reserve system, land tax and the government's actions and summarized the successful experience in china,they are the establishment of the land reserve system, the improvement of the land transfer system, the structural adjustment of land supply, housing and land tax system, and land-control policies, then put forward the research direction to explore in building a real estate appraisal system of land regulation and systematical study in land regulation.
