A hybrid algorithm for optimal power flow using the chaos optimization and the linear interior point algorithm

摘要
In this paper, a novel hybrid optimization algorithm, which combines a chaps optimization algorithm (COA) and a linear interior point method, is proposed for solving the optimal power flow (OPF) problem. The hybrid algorithm is structured with two stages. The first stage uses the chaos optimization algorithm, while the linear primal-dual interior point method with the predictor-corrector is employed in the second stage. The hybrid algorithm involves two level of optimization, namely global search by the COA and local search by the linear interior point method, which cooperates in a global process of optimization. It can provide more robust convergence on the OPF problem than either algorithm alone. IEEE 14, 30 and 57 bus test systems are run. Numerical results illustrate the feasibility and potential of the proposed hybrid algorithm.
