摘要
The absorption of CO2 is of vital importance considering the environmental aspects that rise through its emissions. A lot of studies have been conducted regarding the maximization of the CO2 absorption. A way to do that is by adding fine nanoparticles to the liquid bulk. In this paper a model was developed in order to determine how absorption enhancement changes for different particle loadings, particle adsorption capacities, initial concentrations and particle diameters. Diffusion equation was solved numerically with FDM (Finite Difference Method) using MATLAB computing language. It is found that nanoparticles do enhance absorption and particle adsorption capacity has a positive impact on enhancement factor, whereas particle size and concentration have an optimum for maximum absorption enhancement.
