摘要：

This study was conducted to identify the rate of domestic violence among married women in Iran. It was observed that women face both physical and mental violence almost one-third of all married women experience some form of domestic violence from their spouses. A sample of 298 marned women from the city of Ahwaz in Iran revealed that 43.95% had been assaulted by their husbands in the year prior to this study or during their marriage period A significant observation made is that violence occurred across all age groups.
