Time-domain differentiation of terahertz signals

摘要
We report on the transmission of terahertz signals through subwavelength grating structures. Time-resolved experiments show that the transmitted field is the first time-derivative of the incident wave. The experimental results are in accord with classical electromagnetic theory and may enable novel applications for ultrafast pulse shaping.
