摘要
In this paper, we introduce the preparation, crystal structure, luminescence properties and applications for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) of nitride and oxynitride phosphors. These phosphors strongly absorb UV-to-blue light, and can emit blue-to-red light because of their structural versatility and the nephelauxetic effect. Thus, they are suitable for white LEDs fabricated with near ultraviolet and blue LED. The nitride and oxynitride phosphors has been proved its superior suitability for white LEDs and can be used in bichromatic or multichromatic LEDs with excellent properties of high luminous efficacy, chromatic stability, rending index and tuning color temperature. The trends of research and development of nitride and oxynitride phosphors. are also indicated in this review.
