Cross-over temperatures and spin-gap in high T-c cuprate superconductors - An NMR approach

We present NMR experiments in the normal phase (T > T-c) in underdoped HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+delta single crystals (T-c = 115 K) and YBa2Cu3O6.5 (T-c = 46 K in zero field). Through these examples, and on a more general basis, we discuss the signature of the pseudo-gap as observed in NMR experiments and how it compares with other techniques, like transport, specific heat, inelastic neutron scattering and photoemission.
