摘要
Despite proven declining incidence of active venous ulceration, about 100,000 persons in Germany are still affected. Therapy approaches consist partially of causal and partially of symptomatic treatment. The method of choice however should be a continued therapeutic concept which coordinates the above mentioned therapy approaches. Reduction of venous hypertension through consequent compression therapy as well as ablation of the insufficient superficial venous system should be aspired. Also direct surgical therapies such as shave therapy or fasciectomy come to be implemented. Only by observance and combination of all those measures is it possible to achieve success with the - to some extent since years - ulceration-inflicted patients.
