摘要
The paper discusses the most important areas of application of power electronics arrangements in electrical power systems; especially in distribution systems. Presented examples demonstrate both the need and the purpose of further research and its applications in those fields, as well as they indicate direction of the future research, with special consideration given to research required in Poland. Proposed practical solutions of power electronics arrangements either dedicated or capable of adaptation to the distribution systems illustrate the ability to use potential of Polish national research-development units.
