摘要
Recently, immersive displays have emerged, providing more realistic visual experiences than conventional displays. In particular, Field of Light displays (FoLDs) show promise to provide improved visual experience as the technology develops and promise to eventually pass the visual Turing test, i.e. provide visual experiences which are indistinguishable from reality. In this paper, we consider what a 3D display that passes this test would look like and discuss the implications for display content, including interactive rendering, video transmission, storage, and display.
