Fluid motion with wave overtopping behind a breakwater

摘要
The velocity and wave field with wave overtopping behind a breakwater was numerically simulated to clarify the physical properties of eddies, turbulence and transmitted waves in this region. The interaction among large scale eddies generated at the onset of overtopping jets and the spatial and temporal changes in dynamic pressure due to the impact increase in the momentum of jets were clarified in this simulation. The frequency properties on surface elevation, kinetic energy and enstrophy and their correlations are also discussed on the basis of results of spectrum analysis.
