摘要
Low-lying states of vertically coupled double dots without tunnelling are studied. Three electrons and one electron are contained in the lower and higher dots, respectively. Effect of the interdot separation d and the external magnetic field B are evaluated. The angular momentum L and the spin S of the true ground states are found to jump not only with the variation of B but also with d. To clarify the particle-correlation, density functions are defined to analyze the wave functions. This analysis indicates that the quantum symmetries play very important roles in low-lying states.
