摘要
Computerized tomography (CT) scanning is one of the most effective techniques used in studying concrete crack initiation and propagation. CT scanning of concrete under uniaxial compression was used to monitor the mesodistribution in concrete. Fractal dimensions and damage variables of CT images corresponding to various crack development stages of concrete were calculated. The CT images' fractal dimension changes were observed to have the same trend as the concrete damage-loading curves. The fractal dimensions and damage variables of CT images increase rapidly at a certain loading level, indicating a dangerous condition in the concrete. The proposed integration of CT testing and fractal analysis provides a useful and effective tool for monitoring concrete mesodamage and for evaluating concrete performance.
