摘要
The problem of provisioning survivable multicast sessions in WDM mesh networks has been studied in the literature, and several heuristics have been proposed. We in this paper propose a novel and efficient heuristic algorithm, called segment exclusion (SE), to improve existing algorithms in terms of the cost (e.g., resources) used for provisioning a multicast session. Simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of SE.
