Cote d'Ivoire in Regional Integration of the Economic Community of West African Countries

According to B. Balassa's theory of economic integration, we live a rather high, effective, and promising stage in the development of the world economy, a qualitatively new and more complex stage in the internationalization of economic relations. Regional economic integration involves the cooperation of individual countries in order to more efficiently use resources by creating favorable conditions for the implementation of productive business activities simultaneously in the markets of several countries (regional markets). The purpose of the article is to determine the role of Cote d'Ivoire in the regional integration of the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECO-WAS). The article analyzes the contribution of Cote d'Ivoire to the development of regional integration of the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECOWAS), its position based on the African Regional Integration Index. The article assesses the country's effectiveness in the regional market, allocated particular qualities of customers of Cote d'Ivoire in the domestic market.
