New Patristic renaissance: "Paris theology" of the "Russia abroad" and the "nouvelle theologie"

A turning of the mid-20th-century Orthodox and Catholic theologians to the sources of Christian tradition, known as a Patristic renaissance, is under the scrutiny. The main witnesses are S.N. Bulgakov, George Florovsky and V.N. Lossky ("Paris theology") from the Orthodox side, and H. de Luvac, H.U. von Balthasar, J. Danielou and Y. Congar ("nouvelle theologie") from the Catholic side. Author proposes a kind of typology of different approaches to the ancient heritage, some parallels and differentiation.
