Connection of cost management practice and strategic management ideas: A case of China

Strategic management requires that enterprises should set up ideas such as adapting themselves to circumstances, the competitive advantage, reorganization, strategic alliance and learning organization. However, there are the serious contradiction and conflict between these ideas and the cost management practice. This paper presents the basic ideas of strategic management, discusses the contradiction and conflict between these ideas and cost management practice in China, and then puts up the related countermeasures.
