THE TEACHING OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES OUTSIDE THE LINGUISTIC ENVIRONMENT

摘要：
This article deals with the problem of teaching foreign languages (FL) in conditions of outside the linguistic environment to Mexicans whose future profession is not related to languages. The current situation is analyzed in terms of the composition of academic staff, teaching materials and the specific characteristics of this type of student body. The method of linguistic and extra-linguistic didactic commentary is postulated as a method that could give immediate solution to several problems related to the teaching-learning process of LE and methodological suggestions are offered on how to apply this method in foreign language teaching.
