摘要
With the increasing high heat transfer requirement of modern industry, it is still an important issue that how to improve the thermal performance of heat exchangers efficiently. The concentric pipe heat exchanger is widely applied in the field of heat transfer due to its simple structure and convenient manufacture. In the past decades, numerous investigations have been carried out on concentric pipe heat exchangers due to the technological developments. Therefore, this literature review focuses on an overview of heat transfer enhancement and flow characteristics of the concentric pipe heat exchanger which basically involves the double and triple concentric pipe heat exchanger. The related studies are systematically analyzed to address the further research work on concentric pipe heat exchangers. This literature strengthens our understanding of flow characteristics and heat transfer mechanism of the concentric pipe heat exchanger, which also offers some references for concentric pipe heat exchangers in further industry application.(c) 2021 Published by Elsevier B.V.
