In conclusion, the treatment of chronic pulmonary hypertension has markedly advanced, with numerous agents now available as therapeutic choices. Ongoing studies are examining the potential utility for these agents in children. In addition, more work is needed to examine combinations of therapies in order to determine the optimal strategies for individual patients. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
