摘要
The pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, in addition to revealing vulnerabilities at the health level, has revealed new social impacts such as the increase in gender-based violence in situations of home confinement, which UN Women has referred to as "the pandemic in the shadows". This paper reflects, from feminist theory and other critical theories, on the captivity and confinement of women already present in the generic condition of "being a woman" and provides an analysis of information related to gender violence and confinement, published in some Spanish digital newspapers with gender correspondents or specialised sections, during the first state of alarm, decreed between 13 March and 21 June 2020.
