摘要：

The name Plagiochila retrospectans (Nees ex Spreng.) Linderb. has been mistakenly applied to a common New Zealand species, properly known its P. fuscella (Hook.f. & Taylor) Gottsche Lindenb. & Nees, a species evidently restricted to New Zealand. Plagiochila viridio-nigra (E.A.Hodgs.) Inoue is a distinct species. These three species are described and discussed. Plagiochila rotundifolia Colenso and P. beckettiana Steph. are synonyms of P. fuscella. One new combination, P. fuscella var. novae-zelandiae is required. Plagiochila alpina Colenso is a synonym of P. sinclairii Mitt.
