摘要
The method of product family design based on shape grammar is proposed aiming at enhancing market competitiveness. This method uses shape grammar to extract basic form elements and transform them according to given rules in order to generate new product family constructed on product platform with homogeneous characters, reduce cost and shorten product development cycle. Meanwhile, value and connotation of brand are transmitted by this method. Taking Motorola as an example, this paper explores the history of product family and product shape grammar.
