摘要：
2D GIS technology is mainly used in traffic management system, especially in the field of traffic safety management. Based on the analysis of 2D GIS and the shortcomings of the usage of 2D e-map in the traffic safety management system, this paper discussed the benefit of 3D e-map and the possibility of usage it in the traffic safety management system. Some key technologies of 3D traffic safety system were discussed and -the methods of 3D modeling were presented by the use of Multigen Creator and Vega.
