摘要
Titanium and Ti-6Al-4V are popular biocompatible materials used in bone repair and replacement due to their high strength, low weight and excellent corrosion resistance. In the study of dental implants, the physics and chemistry of the implant's surface must be studied closely as the presence of debris or contaminant particles can affect the tissue response. On the other hand special surface treatment may improve osseointegration. The aim of our article is to study titanium proprieties as dental implant material and improvements made to its surface for a good bone to implant interaction.
