摘要
A study conducted during the wet season of 1993 and 1994 revealed that the rice (Oryza sativa L.) transplanted on 25 June produced taller plants, highest number of productive tillers/m(2), dry-matter accumulation, panicle weight and grain yield, followed by 5 July, 15 June and 25 July transplantings. The increase in grain yield with 25 June transplanting was 10, 4 and 58% over 15 June, 5 and 25 July respectively. Hybrid ''ORI 161' ('PHB 71') was found significantly superior in plant height, panicle weight and grain yield to hybrids 'PMS 2A/IR 31802', 'PMS 10A/PR106' and variety 'HKR 126'. Hybrid 'PMS2A/IR31802' produced highest number of effective tillers/m(2), but was at par with 'ORI 161'.
