Museums and cultural institutions in Michigan: Can they be viable tourism attractions and tourism industry partners?

摘要：
Heritage tourism has been gaining more attention by the tourism industry. The museum industry is now wanting to partner actively with tourism professionals; however, there are a number of challenges to be addressed to facilitate effective collaboration. A census mail survey of Michigan museums and cultural institutions identifies the opportunities and challenges for developing these partnerships.
