Second order integro-differential equations of Volterra type on unbounded domains in Banach spaces

摘要
The initial value problem (IVP) for first order integro-differential equations of Volterra type on infinite interval J = [0,∞) in a real Banach space was previously addressed by means of fixed point theory. In this work, the IVP is investigated for second order equations by establishing a comparison result and using the upper and lower solutions.
