摘要：
Safety investment and safety cost are two primary concepts involved in the construction safety study with economic principles. However, these two concepts are often confused by some researchers. The paper is intended to clarify the similarities and differences between safety investment and safety cost. By analyzing their basic definitions and their respective components in construction project, the paper distinguishes the two concepts, illustrates their different applying areas, and specifies their links.
