摘要
This study undertakes an investigation of the Strategic Management of IT through the verification of the reality of the Information Technology (IT) field in the Federal Institutes (FI). The study also deals with aspects involving planning, strategies and top management, assuming that exists a gap between the universe of IT Institutional Governance and IT Management. The research is characterized as a qualitative descriptive approach, through bibliographic and documentary research and based on the results of studies already published on the subject. The main objective of the study was to survey and map information, and as the result, the proposition of the iStar SD and SR models as guidelines for the restructuring of IT and the inclusion of this area as strategic and of high level in the FI. One of the main findings of the current study was the need of include representatives of the IT area in the strategic institutional decisions aimed at raising the level of IT Governance.
