摘要
The evolution of the energy sector worldwide has rised the concern both in environmental issues and in finding alternative renewable energy sources. With a geographical location suitable for use and technological potential and in renewable electricity generation, Romania is considered to be highly attractive for the green energy market. This document is a SWOT analysis in the field of renewable energy, more precisely solar energy, at national level. SWOT ( Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)analysis is a first analysis tool that could increase the efficiency and coherence of national practices and policies in the field of renewable energy, and can help to achieve a roadmap to exploiting Romania's high solar energy potential. National energy strategy planning, encouraging the development of renewable energy, the predictable legislative framework, are some of the factors that will encourage the use of large quantities of solar energy. Financial support factors and human resources factors also influence the successful implementation at a large-scale of renewable energy sources in Romania.
