摘要
An algorithm for modeling contact in three-dimensional Eulerian shock physics codes is proposed in this study. The algorithm has been implemented into CTH [1] for testing purposes. Results from numerical experiments demonstrate that the new algorithm yields reasonable results for frictionless sliding lateral contact was well as cavity expansion from eroding penetration. To the author's knowledge, this is the first single algorithm of this type capable of modeling these two problems in an Eulerian framework.
