Planning, Development, and Quality Systems of Helicopters Production in Russia

The paper focuses on the planning, development, and quality system of helicopter equipment in Russia. The introduction and mastering of the digital design and development technology are possible only with the participation of senior management, because the digital-based design affects basic business processes and enterprise structures. The authors note that in the process of designing aviation technology, the most important place is given to the layout existing as an independent section of the documentation at all technological stages of product development. The ERP-system, necessary for organizing the efficient production process, is considered in detail. The ERP-system is an enterprise management information system focused on balanced resource planning using specialized software. The key feature of the ERP system is the approach to organizing the interaction between the business processes and operations, regardless of their territorial or functional separation. The main design and preparation stages of the helicopter production, including the preliminary and conceptual design, and the production of the experimental helicopter for the ground and flight tests are considered. The development strategy of the corporate quality management system in the aviation industry is given, which is aimed at creating conditions for improving the quality of helicopters, its operational characteristics, reliability, and safety. In the conclusion, the authors consider the main areas to improve product quality and offer ways to solve the issues of quality assurance in the aviation industry.
