Results of HD Radio VHF Mobile Reception Measurements in Dense Urban Regions

摘要
This paper presents preliminary results of mobile propagation channel measurements at VHF frequencies, carried out in urban areas in Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Analysis of field strength measurements compared with predictions from ITU-R P. 1546 is included. As well as the obtaining of path loss exponent to characterize the propagation environment in each route. Large-scale and small-scale fading are statistically modelled, Chi-square hypothesis test and root mean square error are obtained to evaluate the statistical models. Finally, the reception quality was measured and the SNR threshold for good reception estimated.
