ABR traffic control using intelligent PID controller

摘要
For the congestion of high-speed communication networks, an intelligent PID controller is designed to adjust the rates of ABR on-line in ATM networks. And the Smith predictor is presented to constrain the adverse effect on control caused by feedback delay. The control algorithm designed can overcome the adverse effect caused by uncertainties such as the number of users,the ABR bandwidth as well as propagation delay etc. The fairness and full utilization of bandwidth is ensured. Simulation results show that-the control system is stable and robust, the quality of service is guaranteed meanwhile.
