Estimation of thermal boundary condition using extended Kalman filter

摘要
The heat transfer coefficient (HTC) that describes the rate at which heat flows from the source to the surrounding ground can not be determined directly from the laboratory test since it is difficult, if not impossible, to measure the amount of heat being transferred. To overcome this difficulty, temperature measurements are made and the HTC is estimated from these measurements using inverse formulation. This paper describes Kalman filtering technique as a tool to obtain the thermal parameter which may be used for numerical simulation of low temperature coupled system.
