A method of determining the torque of electrical machines

A method of determining the torque and the braking torque of DC and AC electrical machines from their own parameters, namely, the current, voltage, speed etc. is descrided. The problem of choosing algorithms for data processing in a measuring instrument operating in a system with the electrical machine is solved. The possibility of meeting modern requirements of measurement accuracy with an error at the level of 0,5-3% is analysed. This method of determining the torque enables one in many cases to dispense with the use of complicated measuring instruments on the machine shaft.
