摘要
Simulation of Wireless interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and logical segmentation of various applications have been investigated in this work. WiMAX is an emerging broadband wireless communication standard used as a mode of transmission and high-speed internet access. It provides more bandwidth, better QoS, better security, greater coverage and has low infrastructure cost. The quality of Service (QoS) related parameters are throughput, delay, jitters, data loss are evaluated in this work using packet tracer to simulate the operation of different applications that make use of the network resources in WiMAX architectural design. These applications include IP telephony, multimedia and data services. The simulation results give a better choice of WiMAX's service classes and these are investigated in the terms of various QoS related metrics.
