摘要
With the development of virtual reality (VR) technology, the number of VR applications is also increasing. In this paper, we presented VR pottery space to design and display ceramic product based on VR. This proposed VR pottery space consists of two subsystems: a VR ceramic design system and a VR ceramic exhibition system. The VR ceramic design system can generate a ceramic three-dimensional (3D) model by simulating the cos function in virtual environment. The VR ceramic exhibition system is used for users to visit 3D ceramic models displayed in a virtual ceramic exhibition hall that were stored in a ceramic cloud service platform. Based on a real-life showroom layout scheme, a serialization method of the exhibition hall was developed, and a hall construction architecture was proposed. The application effect of the realized virtual pottery space system show that it can bring a new transmission way of ceramic culture to ceramic craftsmans.
