摘要：
A symposium on a Road Innovation Charter proposed for the UK took place at the Transport Research Laboratory on April 3, 1996. The symposium introduced the concept of a Road Innovation Charter to the UK construction industry and determined the current opinion of its likely success if adopted. All sectors of the UK road industry were invited and representatives from different institutions were present.
