摘要
The paper focuses on the laboratory investigation and analysis of the test results produced from a detailed test program designed to study the axial behaviour of reinforced short columns prepared by conventional concrete (CC), ternary concrete (TC) and steel fiber reinforced ternary concrete with w/b = 0.55 at 28 days. Crimped steel fibers of aspect ratio of 60 with four volume fractions of 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% were used in predetermined ternary mix, obtained from strength studies (Suda and Srinivasa Rao, 2020) [1]. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the load carrying capacity and load deformation performance under axial load, the study is extended to calculate the ductility characteristics, and energy absorption. The results show that, the ternary columns had better performance over conventional columns, and it is further improved by the addition of steel fiber. (C) 2020 The Authors.
