Determination of the charge on BEDO-TTF in its complexes by Raman spectroscopy

摘要
Raman spectroscopy was employed as a fast and exact general method to determine the charge on BEDO-TTF (BO) in its complexes in any sample form such as single crystals, powders, and dispersed polymer films. Linear dependencies between the frequencies of two totally symmetric C=C stretching modes and the charge on BO were found and used to evaluate the charge transfer (CT) degree. The border between neutral (insulating) and partially CT (conducting) complexes based on BO was estimated as 0.3.
