摘要
The paper studies the main specific features of the Bulgarian dialects in Northern Albania and Southern Kosovo in relation to the linguistic features of the Codex Marianus a Glagolitic manuscript for whose origin different hypotheses have been proposed. Evidence that these dialects belong to the Bulgarian language continuum is presented. The author points out that the typical reflex of the nasal vowel spread across this dialect area and observed in the manuscript is found across vast areas of the Bulgarian linguistic territory, as well as in various Old Bulgarian monuments. For this reason, the reflex of Ak as y should be considered a domestic dialectal phenomenon. A number of phenomena typical for the Bulgarian dialects are also discussed with respect to the reflexes of the back and the front er vowel.
