"Computer Network Technology" is a compulsory computer basic course in computer major of most colleges. However, this course involves lots of theoretical knowledge that are difficult to understand and remember. Since it has the high demand on practice, the teaching effect caused by traditional education method is not usually desirable. This paper applies the task -driven teaching method into the curriculum of "Computer Network Technology" in terms of the characteristic of network course and the practical teaching experience of teachers. Through the related design of experimental education of computer network, the students can study and practise simultaneously in the form of task, thus improving the study motive, interest and effect, promoting the transition of study manner, and cultivating the ability of analyzing, solving problems and cooperation and communication. As a result, the favorable teaching effect is available.
