摘要
Feminists have exposed the many ways in which women's contribution and actions are made invisible in our everyday world. The popular media are one of the channels through which information about women and their contribution is mediated, yet there is little coverage of the ways in which women are making efforts to improve the wellbeing of their families, their communities and their countries. Three case examples are presented in this paper to show that, while not making the news, women are initiating and participating in projects that will affect world wellbeing, and which are occurring at all levels. While not asserting that these women claim to be feminist in their orientation, feminist understandings are used to explain the value of the women's projects, and ideas from ecofeminism are explored to see if they have any relevance to the everyday lives of the women who are working toward world wellbeing.
